Our client is a global sourcing & logistics specialist of motors and gear motors for OEM applications. They are a thirty (30) year old successful company, providing differentiating value for customers such as low risk product development, quality cost-effective sourcing, and management of inventory pipeline.
Primary Function:
Provide leadership and coordination of company sales and marketing functions, including strategic planning, managing people, selling, leveraging state-of-the-art technology, and improving processes.  Formulate, recommend, and implement policies and programs in the areas of forecasting, sales, pricing, and marketing.  Define and analyze target markets, associated target customers, selling tools and methodologies to drive strategically aligned profitable growth.  Manage new business development.  Meet or exceed sales and profit budgets.
  • New Business Opportunities (NBO’s) to support year-over-year sales and profit growth, and manage an NBO pipeline in excess of at least three (3) times year-over-year projected growth.
  • Achievement of top and bottom line budgets while maintaining cost control.
  • Maintain existing business and foster opportunities in existing customers for growth.
  • Develop and execute plans for strategic markets and strategic customers within those markets.
  • Long (36 months) and short (12 months) term strategic planning.
  • Formulate policies and practices for forecasting existing business and new business growth.
  • Develop and oversee policies and practices for pricing that provide opportunities for increased gross margin.
  • Develop marketing strategies that provide warm leads to the sales team and helps to build brand recognition.
  • Leveraging technology and improving processes.
Position Qualifications:
  • Experience with growth strategies in diversified industrial markets selling electromechanical or mechanical complex technical products.
  • Two or more years of experience in a sales leadership role, managing at least five direct reports.
  • Industrial, electromechanical or mechanical product marketing experience.
  • Proven track record of new business development (hunter).
  • Technologically savvy in tools to support sales, marketing, and operations.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with an MBA, or Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing concentration is preferred.
