Responsibilities: 
  • Develop, implement, review and maintain control programs in multiple field sites in and around the local area, oversee installations and perform project management while working collaboratively with engineers, designers, operations and project managers of varying disciplines with an emphasis on optimization, safety and efficiency, will be required to interact with technical authorities and specialist in other departments and areas to ensure alignment and standards are followed
  • You will specify DCS, PLC, RTU, SCADA systems and platforms, communication networks, telemetry and related equipment
  • Develop automation and controls for production optimization and programming of RTU’s and operations HMI’s setups
  • Subject matter expert for process control, instrumentation, and equipment specifications
  • Project manager for automation and control, including engineering and design of new facilities, optimization, construction, commissioning and operations projects
  • Make recommendations to engineering, production, maintenance, safety and procurement departments for automation equipment, devices and specifications
  • Review, recommend for approval, and maintain P&ID’s, EAC’s, panel, site layout and civil drawings
  • Responsible for FAT and site commissioning of automation and instrumentation equipment
 Qualifications: 
  • Authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
  • BS degree in Engineering with 5 years working knowledge in Oil and Gas, petrochemical or similar industry related experience OR dual ticketed Journeyman Instrument and Electrical or similar certification\education combination with a minimum of 10 years working knowledge in Oil and Gas, petrochemical or similar industry related experience
  • Experience and understanding of automation systems, pneumatic controls, and similar equipment
  • Experience with DCS, PLC and RTU software and programming
  • Experience with bid packages, IFR, IFC, EAC and similar drawings
  • Knowledge of SD key functions, equipment specifications and process control philosophies     
  • Must have excellent computer skills and familiar with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and related software
  • Knowledge and understanding of ANSI, NEC, NFPA & API standards and specifications
  • Knowledge of local, state and government codes and regulatory requirements
