Electrical Controls Engineer

This employee-oriented, manufacturer of global industrial products is hiring a full time, permanent Electrical Controls Engineer.  The company prides itself on promoting on-site learning and team building.  Employees have flexible work hours.  The company is very employee-friendly and as a result employees tend to stay long-term.  Customers are in the aerospace, automotive, foundry and electronics industries.

The Electrical Controls Engineer will be designing, programming and sequencing operations.  At time, this person will helping with start-up and equipment debugging.  Although this person will be working for an Engineering Manager in an office environment, there will be a minimal amount of work on the floor.  There may be limited travel (the average is between one to three weeks-it is a couple days verses three weeks straight) to do a variety of work from technical customer meetings to starting up equipment.  There is a full set of in-house service technicians and an outside service group well-versed in the equipment to do most of that work. 

Successful candidates will have:
  • Five years of experience programming Siemens and/or Allen Bradley PLC's.   
  • The ability to program from scratch and do technical writing. 
  • The ability to know the sequence of operation after programming a machine. 
  • Two years of ACADE (AutoCAD Electrical) experience is also required.
